Tom Hiddleston, 2014.iCons project for Elton John AIDS Foundation

I shot Tom near Belfast whist he was shooting the bizarre film High-Rise. He had just finished a big scene, which was the last shot of the day, and he knew there was a line of adoring fans awaiting autographs and selfies outside the studio. Tom and I spoke for a while about his filming projects and then he asked if I wanted to take any more shots. Not wanting to miss the chance a quickly unpacked the camera and took a handful more. He was a very giving and kind guy.

Born on February 9, 1981, in London, England, actor Tom Hiddleston has a gift for playing the evil villain.

His turn as Loki, the sinister brother of the hammer-wielding god Thor—played by Chris Hemsworth—in the blockbusters Thor and The Avengers, has turned him into a star.

First emerging on British television and the stage, Hiddleston has appeared in other films with such big time directors as Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg and Guillermo del Toro.
